More changes...

Andrew has braces!  He also got 2 teeth pulled yesterday : (  He is excited about the changes.  And I am trying to figure out what food taste good when blendarized.... yum, yum!  I don't know that he will let me post pictures  : )   He actually looks pretty cute with braces, like a cute 17 year old.  But he's not crazy about the word, "cute," either.  Maybe he'll get the right idea when he finds me checkin' him out : )  

Crazy Days!

I am just getting over a fairly violent flu.  Last night I was huddled under layers of blankets, with a jacket on, and couldn't stop shaking.  My right hand actually went numb because I was so cold!!  The fever finally broke in the middle of the night, and I'm excited because I feel like I can live again!  Its amazing how good it feels to clean the house and do laundry, now that I am not a zombie on the couch :)  Donovan also came down with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.  When Andrew took the children to the pediatrician, she discovered both of them had ear infections, too!  How crazy.  But they both are as playful and happy as ever, and today I can be the same way : )

I forgot to mention that Annie had their baby boy, Jovan Jarrett!!  Probably I didn't post the news because pretty much everyone that reads this already knows : )  So now Annie has caught up to me : ) and stayed true to the "newest Makinson generation" trend of girl first, boy second.  Way to go, Justin & Annie!  : )  

Colorado Summer Days

We went to the church playground and met daddy for lunch, where we sat in the sun on the basketball court.

Marcail was surprisingly timid around all the ladders and slides, but I think she just needs to get more used to them.

She did, however, want to swing in the big swing all by herself.

I saw this and thought, "Wow, she's not a baby, or even a toddler anymore. She's a KID already!"

....And then I see this and know that she is still my baby girl.

One of the most tender things on earth. These are the moments I will always cherish.

Andrew and I went to Daniel's house Wednesday, per April's request. Amanda was there! Hugs! : )  Andrew and I were able to leave the children sleeping in Seneca, so it was like a date night. No wait, it WAS a date night!

So happy to see each other again!

When we reviewed this picture, Amanda and I bursted out laughing because of our expressions. We have no clue what we were discussing here. So, we concocted a scenario along these lines:
Amanda: "I don't care what your reason is. You have to because I said so."
Anneke: "Make me."
