Moving Days

The next few days we will be packing and moving!  We're now renting a 4 bedroom house, and we are SO excited about moving into it!  When we get a little settled in at the end of the week, I'll post some pictures so everyone can get a look : )

How in the World?....

So yesterday Marcail was rummaging through Andrew's things and came across one of his mini-Bibles (the tiny kind that have the New Testament + Pslams).  She proudly hugged it to herself and then held it out to show me. "Bible!!" she clearly said.   Huh!??!?!  Andrew and I looked at each other.  "Did you tell her that was a Bible?" I asked. "She didn't even call it a book.  She knew it was a Bible."  Andrew had no clue either. 

She also found a nail file from my bathroom and sat down, filing her toenails.  Where did she learn that?  I mostly always clip my nails, and the only time I have to file normally happens when the children are sleeping.  And I'm SURE she has never ever seen me file my toe nails!!

My little man is growing big so fast.  I think he slept 14-15 hours last night/this morning!  I finally had to get him up around noon so we could go see Leeland.  We were out for a couple of hours and he was already acting VERY ready for bed again.... must be on one of those growth spurts.

This was at the Leeland Concert.  She was so excited and jumping up and down!  I tried to take a video of her but it was too dark.  She was also happily entertained by drawing with pens on paper (which is why those pens are in her hands), HEAVILY supervised.  This little girl is enthralled by making all kinds of pretty designs on her face, arms, feet, clothes, mommy's clothes, Donovan's face......  : )

Hmmm, he must've not been in as good of a mood as mommy, at this point : )

Leeland brought their own mix engineer so Andrew got to sit with us for about, oh, 45 seconds!  Quick, take a family picture! : )   Last night I realized that with Andrew's work schedule, it'd been 2 days since M & D had seen their daddy!  So I made it a point to bring them to him after last night's concert.  They were both REALLY excited about that.

This conference has been really, really great.  We feel so honored to be part of something that has eternal impact on thousands of lives.  Today is the last day of it, but it won't be over for Andrew until Sunday night.  He's been running on 4 hours of sleep every night, and still comes home at 1 am with plenty of energy and stories.  So its worth it to me to stay up for that!   I love that he is so enjoyable even on so little sleep..... Geez, some people have all the talent!

Today

So tonight was just absolutely amazing with Matt Redman leading worship.  It was fantastic, and worshipping God in a room full of thousands of people just makes my heart so happy and full.  The only unfortunate thing is that I totally left my camera here at home!  I even recharged the battery and emptied the memory card for lots of room for pics and movies, so I WAS attempting to plan ahead.

Oh, in other news, Marcail said her first two word "sentence" today.  She and Donovan were playing together, and she decided she wanted his toy.  She promptly grabbed it from him, to which Donovan responded by whimpering.  And she looked at him with eyebrows raised and said commandingly, "Donovan, share."  Oh, I did laugh!  .... and then I had her return the toy to her brother : )

Desperation Conference

This week Andrew has been busy with preparing for our annual Desperation Conference.  It is always a powerful time, especially with the youth, as youth from 30 of the 50 states will be represented there.  Matt Redman, Leeland, and the Desperation Band will be leading worship!....And Andrew will be mixing for them!   Two years ago, Hillsong United was there for the Conference, and of course, Marcail had to be born at that time : )  Last year Donovan barely missed it.  And this year, well, another Tech wife is due at that time!  We just all had to pitch in to keep the Desperation-baby legacy going.

Visitors!!

Suzanne and Wes are coming!!! YAAAYYYY!!!  We are so excited to see them later this month.  We are moving into a house at the end of this month, so come on, ya'll.  There is going to be PLENTY of room for visitors.  I promise to make a mean meal of mac & cheese : 0 )  just kidding.  But seriously, I know how to cook and make you happy that you stopped by : 0 )

Stop & Smell the Roses

This weekend was full of a flurry of activities! Marcail was a flower girl in another wedding this weekend, so we got to go to all of the festivities, which included drives into the mountains to the little chapel, a delicious dinner downtown and a wonderful family walk afterwards, watching fireworks in the park, and watching movies until way too late at night. The only bad part about the weekend was that I didn't bring my camera for any of it! Last night, Andrew returned home from the store with a bouquet of roses.... this is the first time that he's done that, "just because!"
First I had to ask him if everything was okay; then he got a big kiss!

His New Look

When he talks, it is actually a little difficult to tell that that he braces... Some people's mouths just don't move much when they talk. Whenever I get mine, however, it will be very noticeable, as one elderly lady was kind enough to point out to me that when I smiled, she could see ALL my teeth : ) I will always be grateful for her pointing that out to me : )
